Towngate Theatre hosts the West Liberty University Creative Arts Therapy 2026 exhibition.
The exhibition includes studio art as well as work created from art therapy directives. Art therapy is a mental health profession that uses art media and the creative process to explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety and increase self-esteem.
It is free and open to the public with light refreshments served. Drinks, including beer and wine, are available for purchase. For more information, visit WestLiberty.edu/CAT.
Stifel Fine Arts Center hosts Crosscurrents 2026, a juried multi-media exhibition featuring regional artists. Each year, artists compete for a chance to exhibit in the annual show, with selected works chosen by a guest juror and cash prizes awarded.
The exhibition is on display through June 13, 2026. Regular gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Evening hours vary based on classes and special events. Admission is free.
Oglebay Park will feature a plein air painting demonstration at 1 p.m. as part of its spring series. An artist will paint at a scenic location in the park, allowing visitors to observe the creative process.

Wheeling Artisan Center will host WSO Yoga beginning at 9 a.m. Each session is taught by a local instructor with music provided by a Wheeling Symphony Orchestra musician. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Participants should bring water and a yoga mat or towel.
The WSO Yoga Series is free to the public, with donations accepted at the door.
Vigilant Fire House will host a tour at 2 p.m. The building, constructed in 1891-92, served as a firehouse until 1976 and is currently being renovated into a bookstore. The tour offers a look at the restoration in progress. Admission is free.
Bridge Tavern & Grill will host a Kentucky Derby watch party beginning at 5 p.m. The event will include food and drink specials, with live music by Art Motel from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The race begins at 7 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.
Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack will host a Kentucky Derby buffet from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The ticket includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, one drink ticket, a $2 racing wager, a racing program and additional giveaways. The menu features items such as brisket, hot brown mac and cheese and bourbon pecan pie.
Oglebay Park Resort will host a Spring Flower Show finale event from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event features wine tastings and live jazz performances at multiple locations throughout the park, with transportation provided by trolley. The event is open to those 21 and older and requires a ticket.
Skyline Kitchen & Bar will host a springtime display kitchen demonstration at 3 p.m. The demonstration will highlight seasonal dishes made with locally grown ingredients and include cooking tips. Admission is free.

Wheeling Park Café 1925 will host Wheeling Cars and Coffee from 9 a.m. to noon. The informal gathering invites automotive enthusiasts to bring their vehicles and socialize. There is no cost to participate.
Centre Market will host the Family Fun Ride beginning at 1 p.m. The guided bicycle ride of approximately three miles will travel through city streets, cross the Suspension Bridge, loop around the south end of Wheeling Island and return to Centre Market, with several historic stops along the way. The event is free and open to all ages, though riders under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Helmets are required, and participants will receive an event drawstring backpack.
Temple Shalom will host its annual Chocolate Extravaganza from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature local vendors offering a variety of chocolate treats, along with raffles, door prizes and a cake drawing. Tickets are $20, with proceeds benefiting community and youth programming.

FAMILY
Ohio County Public Library will host the Book Bites Book Club at 6 p.m. The program is designed for fourth- and fifth-grade students to explore and discuss age-appropriate books.
MUSIC & ARTS
The Wheeling Symphony Youth Orchestra will present its spring concert at 7 p.m. featuring music from Star Wars by composer John Williams. The program will also include selections by Edward Elgar, Ola Gjeilo, Rosephanye Powell and Igor Stravinsky, with performances by the WSO Community Choir. Admission is free, with a suggested $10 donation.
Quaker Steak & Lube will host its weekly acoustic bluegrass jam from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, with guests welcome to participate or listen while dining. From 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., experienced musicians will offer free instruction on bluegrass instruments and vocal skills. The program is open to all ages, with young musicians encouraged to attend.

Table 304 will host a monthly entrepreneur gathering from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The event invites business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to connect, share ideas and network over coffee.
