Richard and Mary Anna Strickler of Wheeling recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary, Wednesday, Aug. 12.
They were united in marriage Aug. 12, 1961 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Wheeling, where they remain active members of the congregation.
Mary Anna is the daughter of the late William and Marie Mitchell of Wheeling. She is a retired elementary teacher from Ohio County Schools.
Richard is the son of the late Edgar and Dorothy Strickler of Uniontown, Pa. He is retired from the former Wheeling Corrugating Co. as Manager of Engineering.
They have two children. The family includes Richard, Jr. of Wheeling and Robin Littleton (deceased). They have two grandsons.
