Marshalls Celebrate 60 Years

Sixty years of loving, caring and sharing, Charles “Chip” and Rebecca “Becky” Marshall were united in marriage on Sept. 3, 1960, at St. John's Catholic Church in Benwood. Chip, originally from Benwood, is retired as the general manager of Tri-Ad Advertising Company. Becky hails from Windsor Heights, and retired as an administrative assistant from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston where she worked for 38 years. Lawrences Are Golden

The Rev. Dr. Bill and Linda Lawrence of Atwood Lake, Ohio, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Aug. 22, 1970, at the Lander United Methodist Church, Lander, Pennsylvania, with the Revs. Bruce Bowen and Jack Reaugh officiating. Linda is a graduate of Grove City College, Grove City, Pennsylvania. She taught mathematics at Langley High School in Pittsburgh, Wheeling Country Day School and St. John’s High School Bellaire. Neralics Celebrate 50th

John and Diane Neralic are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 15. John is a 1965 graduate from Central Catholic High while Diane graduated from Triadelphia High School in 1967. They met at West Liberty University. After marrying, they decided to follow the sun. They lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, for three years before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they have resided for 45 years. They have had successful careers and are now retired. They visit Hawaii every two years and have been fortunate to be able to travel the entire world.

Ritchies Mark 40 Years

Sandy (Tuttle) and Mark S. Ritchie were married on Aug. 16, 1980. Sandy is the daughter of the late Mary E. and Robert E. Tuttle; Mark is the son of Betty Lou Ritchie of Wheeling, and the late Carl M. Ritchie. Sandy is retired from United Bank in Wheeling, and Mark is a retired union carpenter from Carpenters Local #3. They are the parents of three children, Jeremy (Brooke) from Harrisville, West Virginia; Natallie (Matt) of Wheeling, and Tiffany (Joe) of Benwood; eight grandchildren complete the family. A celebration is planned at a later date.

Holberts Are Golden

Chap and Barb Holbert, of Wheeling, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 8. They were married in the United Church of Canada at Willowdale, Ontario, Canada, on Aug. 8,1970. Many friends from the United States and Canada were in attendance. To celebrate their anniversary their children Matthew Holbert and Laura Johnston and their families, held a small gathering in Follansbee.

Golden Anniversary for the Hilemans

On Aug. 8, Jim and Mary Lynn Porter Hileman are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married at Brown’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Morgantown on Aug. 8, 1970. The Rev. Kermit Poling performed the ceremony. Jim and Mary Lynn moved to Middlebourne in October of 1974 after Jim accepted the position of County Extension Agent with WVU Extension Service. Jim retired after 30 years of service with the WVU Extension Service in 2003. Mary Lynn retired from Hometown Insurance Agency. The couple still resides in Tyler County.
