Hunts Celebrate 70th

Burt and Lois “Katie” Hunt of Wellsburg are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 12. They were married in Cumberland, Maryland on Aug. 12, 1950. Burt worked at Weirton National Steel, and after retirement, worked for Franklin Cemetery as a groundskeeper for 23 years. Katie retired from home health care. Katie is the daughter of the late Everett and Ila Spencer Smith. Burt is the son of the late Burt and Ocy Tredway Hunt. Jack and Sandy Schuetz of Wheeling are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married July 30, 1960 by the Rev. Cann at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Sandy is the daughter of the late George and Mary Jane Young. Jack is the son of the late John and Agnes Schuetz. They are parents of six children: Michael (Shaye) Schuetz, Mark (Annette) Schuetz, Laurie (Ray) Thompson, Lisa (Brian) Sorge, Lynn (Luke) Sisarcick, Jennifer (David) Lloyd.
