Weltzes Celebrate 50 Years

Gene and Cathy Weltz of Glen Dale will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 30. They were married on Nov. 30, 1968 by the Rev. James Myles of St. James Catholic Church in McMechen. They were high school sweethearts at Union High School. Cathy is the daughter of Valeria McGuire and the late Stanley (Mickey) McGuire of McMechen. Gene is the son of Russell and Imogene Weltz of Glen Dale. The couple have three children: Brad Weltz of Glen Dale, Michelle Weltz of Florida and Gretchen (Ron) Gill of Wheeling.
