Jeff and Becky Dougherty of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 16. They were united in marriage on July 16, 1966, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Martins Ferry. Jeff Dougherty is the son of the late Ray and Naomi Dougherty and is retired from Straub Honda, where he was the parts manager. Becky Dougherty is the daughter of the late Richard and Isabel Shober and is a retired registered nurse from Wheeling Hospital, where she continues to work one day a week in the operating room. Loren and Phyllis Cecil of Moundsville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage on July 23, 1966. Loren Cecil retired from Ohio Power’s Kammer Plant, and Phyllis Cecil retired from BB&T. Their children are Melissa (Kevin) Jones          of Charleston and Kevin (Anne) Cecil of Hurricane.
