Demattes Celebrate 60th

Jack and Dee Dematte of Wheeling recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were united in marriage on July 28, 1962, at St. Joseph’s Cathedral by the Rev. Bernard Schmitt. Dee is the daughter of Stella Ruggaber Johnson and Charles J. Ruggaber. She is a 1959 graduate of Saint Joseph’s Academy and retired from State Farm Insurance. Hennens Celebrate 50 Years

Denzil and Bonnie Hennen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 25. They were united in marriage Nov. 25, 1972 by the Rev. Glenn O. Bias. Bonnie is the daughter of the late Elwood and Leighla Bungard of Cameron. She retired from Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after 20 years. Denzil is the son of the late Russell and Vergie Hennen of Burton. He owned and operated a barber shop in Cameron for 50 years. John and Carol Saseen, longtime residents of Wheeling, celebrated their 60th (diamond) wedding anniversary on Thursday, Nov. 10. They were married Nov. 10, 1962 in Wheeling. Carol is the daughter of the late James and Delma Schank of Elm Grove. John is the son of the late John and Vera Saseen of Wheeling. Hamiltons Mark 65th

Robert R. and Doris (Lewis) Hamilton of Wheeling celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday. They were united in marriage on Nov. 9, 1957, at Saint Lukes Episcopal Church on Wheeling Island with the late Reverend Carroll Thorn officiating. They are the parents of two children, Susan N. Smith (Rick) and Robert L. Hamilton, and have two grandchildren. Doris is the daughter of the late Garnet and Albert Lewis, Robert is the son of the late Amy and Ray (Lefty) Hamilton.

Dickersons Celebrate Golden

Bob and Christy Dickerson of Moundsville celebrate 50 years of marriage on Oct. 28. They were married on October 28, 1972 by brother John R. McCabe. Bob is the son of Celia Kanoski Dickerson and the late Richard Dickerson of Cadiz, and Christy is the daughter of Nellie Grimm Pozell and the late Larry Pozell of Washington Lands. Their son, Jonathan, lives and works in New Orleans. They plan to celebrate this milestone every day for the rest of their lives.

Couple Marks 25 Years

Gary A. Hall and Jodi A. Hall reside at 259 Harris Lane on Rines Ridge in Marshall County, Proctor, W.Va., where they exchanged their vows 25 years ago on Oct. 31, 1997. As Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein, they shared in a celebration of their love together with friends and family on their property, all dressed in Halloween costumes.
