Bob and Dea Kennen of Wheeling are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, May 1.They were united in marriage in Port Washington, Wis., on May 1, 1976.Bob Kennen is the son of the late Bob and Betty Kennen.Dea Kennen is the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. W.E. Mickey of Poplar Bluff, Mo.The Kennens are the broker/owners of Kennen & Kennen Realtors.The couple's three children all reside in Wheeling: Melissa and Jim Adams, Missy and Paul Ashmore, and Maggie and Jeremy Hodge.The Kennens will celebrate their anniversary with a trip to Savannah, Ga.

Natale "Nick" and Marcella Conti of Wheeling celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, April 23.They were united in marriage on April 23, 1966.Marcella Conti is the daughter of the late John "Ray" and Grace Emmerth of Wheeling. She is a retired telephone operator from Verizon.Nick Conti is the son of the late Luigi and Philomena Conti of Benwood. He is a retired coal miner from the Shoemaker mine.The family includes two sons: John of Naples, Fla., and Steven of Springfield, Va. They have two grandchildren.

Couple Marks 60 Years

Bill and Norma Thomas of St. Clairsville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, April 21.They were united in marriage on April 21, 1956.Both are 1952 graduates of Bellaire High School.Bill Thomas went on to serve in the U.S. Army and play football for Mississippi State University.
