Mr. and Mrs. Ardith Cecil of Moundsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Brittany Lane Cecil, to Robert Wade Springer of Dunbar, Pa., son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Springer of Hunker, Pa.
Cecil is a 2000 graduate of John Marshall High School, a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education, and a 2007 graduate of Winthrop University with a Master of Arts in English. She is employed by Marshall County Schools as an English teacher at Cameron High School.
Springer is a 1994 graduate of Hempfield Area High School and a 1999 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in music education. He is employed by Southeastern Greene School District as a music teacher at Mapletown Junior/Senior High School.
A Sept. 12 wedding is planned in Moundsville.
