Donald and Sue Ellen Johnson of Elkins announce the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Jessica Elizabeth Johnson, to Dr. Ali John Hajiran, son of Homayoun and Rebecca Hajiran of Wheeling.
Johnson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Shepherd University in 2010 and went on to obtain a Doctorate of Medicine from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in May 2014. She is in her residency at Ruby Memorial Hospital in a dual specialty of internal medicine and pediatrics.
Hajiran graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from Wheeling Jesuit University in 2010 and obtained a Doctorate of Medicine from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2014. He is in a surgical residency program for urology.
An Aug. 1 wedding is planned.
