Rhonda Swiger and the late Johnie D. Swiger Sr. of Weirton, parents of the Carrie (Swiger) Duvall, have the pleasure to announce the engagement of their daughter to David Hays, son of Don and Patti Hays of Mingo Junction.

The bride-to-be and groom-to-be are currently residing in their home in Steubenville.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of West Virginia Northern Community College where she received an associates degree in science of nursing in 2014. The bride is currently employed with Healthhelp, a WNS company with main headquarters based out of Houston, Texas.

The prospective groom-to-be is a graduate of Wheeling University where he received his master of science in nursing degree in May 2020, bachelor of science in nursing degree from Wheeling Jesuit University in May 2017, Trinity School of Nursing certificate in May 2011 and bachelor of science degree received from The University of Akron in August 2011.

The groom is currently employed with West Virginia Northern Community College at Weirton and Wheeling campuses and Weirton Medical Center in Weirton.

The couple was engaged in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on July 8, 2021. The wedding ceremony and reception will be held on May 20, 2023.
