Ohio Valley Parent magazine, also known as OV Parent, is celebrating its 15th year of publication in 2015, and sports a new look to mark the occasion.
The magazine, which was founded by Kathy Porter Shapell in 2000 and purchased by Wheeling Newspapers later that year, has undergone several design changes over the years, going from a full tabloid newsprint publication to a half-tab newsprint publication to its new book-size, all-glossy format.
“The magazine always has been geared to parents who are on the go, and this sleek new format is easier than ever to stick in your purse or diaper bag during a trip to the doctor’s office or grocery store,” said OV Parent Editor Betsy?Bethel, who also marks a milestone in 2015: her 10th anniversary as editor.
“We still offer the same features our Ohio Valley readers love, including our Natural Parent, Mommy Moments, Dad’s Eye View and My, How They’ve Grown columnists; health, parenting and school features; science experiments; local calendar of events and library story times,”?she noted.
The January/February edition of the free publication is available now at doctors’ offices, retail outlets, preschools, day cares and schools throughout the Ohio Valley, including Jefferson County and Belmont County in?Ohio, and Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, Marshall,?Wetzel and?Tyler counties in West Virginia.
