Learn About Foster Care at Marshall County Libraries
MARSHALL COUNTY — Learn all about foster care on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the Benwood-McMechen and Moundsville Public Libraries. There will be a session from 1:30 to about 2:30 p.m. at the Benwood-McMechen Library, and a session from 6:30 to about 7:30 p.m. at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library.
Nadine Wilson, with the National Youth Advocate Program of West Virginia, will be the presenter.
These events are free and open to the public. This is a great opportunity to find out what’s really involved in becoming a foster parent and to ask those difficult questions without obligation or fear of judgment. You may be surprised at how simple it is to fit ‘changing a life’ into your own life. There is a great need for more foster parents in our area and across the country and the NYAP is actively trying to raise awareness in local communities. Find out if providing foster care is right for you or someone you know by attending one of these sessions.
