Gorby to Launch New Book Via Tuesday Online Program
The Ohio County Public Library’s Lunch With Books Livestream program will be held at noon Tuesday, April 28 with Hal Gorby, launching his brand new book. Join him live from the safety of your own home computer or phone for another fascinating Facebook LIVESTREAM presentation.
Gorby will discuss his new book from WVU Press: “Wheeling’s Polonia: Reconstructing Polish Community in a West Virginia Steel Town.”
Use the code: POLONIA30.
Gorby’s study of Wheeling’s Polish community weaves together stories of immigrating, working, and creating a distinctly Polish American community, or Polonia, in the heart of the upper Ohio Valley.
The library also offers an initiative to release a new “Lunch With Books from the Vault” every Tuesday since the closing of the library on March 15 due to concerns over the potential spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
Make sure to follow online Lunch With Books at the Ohio County Public Library for additional video programs and news updates.
