Paws For The Cause: A Civil War Dog Story
WHEELING — The Ohio Valley Civil War Roundtable will host storyteller Chris Hart who will relate the experiences of a Civil War Soldier and a dog called Curly. His presentation will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, inside West Virginia’s Independence Hall’s court room in downtown Wheeling.
From his historical research, Hart brings to life over 50 historical characters. His works have been featured in several magazines including Ohio Magazine. In addition to the roles he plays, Hart serves as program developer of historic Roscoe Village.
A resident of Port Washington, Ohio, he graduated from Ohio Northern College in 1977 receiving a B.S. degree in science. He had served as a pharmacist in Tuscarawas County and serves as an adjunct professor at five universities, including Ohio State.
His lecture Saturday is free and open to the public. Donations to the Ohio Valley Civil War Roundtable are accepted.
