Newcomers Meeting Slated on Thursday
WHEELING — The regular monthly meeting of the Wheeling Newcomers Club will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, at the Wheeling Country Club.
The club is open to all new or returning ladies to the Wheeling area. It is a good way to learn about people and places in and around the Ohio Valley.
Our key speaker for the May meeting is Susan Broseman, accompanied by her associate Lynn Kettler. They will provide background information about Wheeling’s homeless population, where they live, their potential income and contribution to society. A luncheon will follow.

WHEELING — Retirees and former employees of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday for lunch at the West Sports Bar at Stratford Springs, Wheeling.
Central Catholic High 1970s Reunion Set
WHEELING — Still Crazy After All These Years Steak Fry — an all-school reunion for 1970s graduates of Catholic Central High School — will take place from 6-11 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at the Italian American Club on Patterson Avenue.
Cost is $35 per person. There will be food, drinks and raffles. Shawn Decker will provide music for the event, will is hosted by the CCHS Class of ’74.
