Community To Hit Jackpot With United Way Fundraiser

WHEELING — The United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley is excited to announce their upcoming fundraiser, Night at the Casino.

This fun event will take place in the showroom at Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack on Friday, Feb. 23. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the gourmet buffet and food stations will be available at 6 p.m. Following dinner, you will be able to participate in three exciting casino games of blackjack, roulette and war. Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at unitedwayuov.org. Your ticket will include gourmet dinner, five no value chips, two drink tickets, Mardi Gras-themed bags for chips and Mardi Gras beads, and a night of fun and music. Additional chips will be available for purchase (10 for $5). Entertainment will be provided by Nick Arno Entertainment along with a photo booth sponsored by MPR Transloading. The event will have a fun Mardi Gras theme and there will be a prize for best costume (male and female).

Each attendee will receive five no-value chips and will be invited to the gaming tables with fun local celebrity dealers: executive director of the St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce Wendy Anderson, executive director of the Wetzel-Tyler Chamber of Commerce Sharon Campbell, executive director of the Barnesville Area Chamber of Commerce Jill Hissom, marketing director for Belmont Savings Bank Alicia Jordan, WTRF anchor Steve Moore, president and owner of Ruiz Insurance Anthony “Rico” Ruiz, Sam and Otis from The Bloomdaddy Experience, and realtor at Paull Associates David Robbins.
