Celebrity Scoopers Hit the Road for the United Way

WHEELING — Get ready for a sweet summer treat with a generous scoop of community spirit as the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley is proud to announce the return of its popular Celebrity Scoopers fundraiser — with an exciting twist.

This year, Celebrity Scoopers is going on the road, bringing well-known local figures to scoop ice cream across multiple locations in the Ohio Valley in the counties that the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley serves to support local families and programs.

Community members are invited to join in the fun and help raise funds by purchasing delicious ice cream served by local celebrities. The event will take place on the following dates and locations:

∫ June 3 from noon to 3 p.m. — Flurry’s Ice Cream and Sweets, Moundsville

∫ June 5 from 4-7 p.m. — Fun in the Ville with Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream, Barnesville

∫ June 13 from 6-8 p.m. — Kickoff to Summer Fun at Stalder’s Family Creamery, New Martinsville

∫ June 18-20 from 1-4 p.m. — Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream, St. Clairsville

∫ June 27 from noon to 3 p.m. — In front of Waterfront Hall, Wheeling, with Kirke’s Homemade Ice Cream

“Each scoop served helps build stronger communities across the Upper Ohio Valley,” said Staci Stephen, executive director of United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley. “We’re excited to bring this event to multiple locations and partner with amazing local businesses and leaders who care deeply about the Ohio Valley.”
