Wheeling Polka Festival – All weekend at Oglebay Park Resort. Enjoy live music from top Polka bands, including John Gora Band, delicious Polish food, and a festive atmosphere filled with dancing and fun at Oglebay Lodge. This spirited, well-loved celebration is overflowing with danceable music, family-friendly fun, Polish culture, and a welcoming community vibe.

“Jesus Christ Superstar” – 7:30 p.m. at West Liberty University’s Kelly Theatre. Imagine a rock band preparing for a massive concert… and telling the story of Jesus’ final days through a jaw-dropping mix of music, movement, and raw emotion. It’s bold. It’s epic. It’s a show you’ll never forget.

He’s Alive! A Musical Passion Play – 7:30 p.m. at the Capitol Theatre, 1015 Main St. in Wheeling. He’s Alive!, the acclaimed musical Passion Play, produced and directed by Heaven Bound Ministries, is returning to the historic Capitol Theatre this coming Palm Sunday weekend. The doors for each of the free performances will open one hour before the performance time. As always, seating is on a first come, first seated basis. No reservations or tickets are needed.

“O Pioneer” Documentary Screening & Filmmaker Q&A – 7 p.m. at Towngate Theatre, 2118 Market St. in Wheeling. Experience “O Pioneer,” an award’winning documentary that shines a powerful light on the modern Appalachian spirit. Filmed in West Virginia, the documentary follows three individuals–Nellie Rose Gundersen Davis, James Morley, and Tim Hibbs–who embody a new kind of pioneering in the Mountain State. Their stories unfold during the challenges of the pandemic and ongoing population decline, revealing resilience, creativity, and a deep commitment to community. Following the screening, stay for a Q&A with the filmmakers for an inside look at their storytelling process and the inspiration behind the film. Brunch with the Bunny – 10 a.m. at Wheeling Park’s White Palace. Celebrate the season with a family-friendly spring gathering at Wheeling Park. Enjoy a relaxed brunch experience paired with cheerful moments for kids, seasonal activities, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny.

Bluegrass Jam – 6-9 p.m. at Quaker Steak and Lube at The Highlands. Every Monday evening, except for the Major Holiday Mondays, Quaker Steak and Lube at the Highlands hosts a weekly acoustic bluegrass music jam. The jam is free and open to the public. Folks are welcome to attend either as a musical participant or just come and enjoy dinner while you listen. Also from 5-6 p.m., more experienced musicians will be available to provide free instruction on any of the standard bluegrass instruments and vocal skills to enable you to get started in bluegrass music or enhance an existing skill level.
