Brianna Hickman
WHEELING — Brianna Hickman has been named one of the distinguished recipients of The Association of Junior Leagues International’s (AJLI) 40 Under 40 Award for 2026, recognizing outstanding Junior League Members who are making a significant impact through leadership, service and innovation in their careers and communities.
Selected from nearly 300 Junior Leagues across six countries, Hickman was recognized for the dedication she shows for community development focused on strengthening West Virginia. As project director at the West Virginia Community Development Hub, she partners with local leaders to create lasting community-driven change. Within Junior League of Wheeling she has held multiple leadership roles, launched impactful programs for women and girls, and helped establish a period products pantry that collected more than 6,000 items in two years. As a dedicated member of the Junior League of Wheeling, Hickman is committed to empowering others, driving positive change and creating meaningful impact in the Wheeling area.
“I am incredibly honored to be recognized among such inspiring leaders,” Hickman said. “Working with the Junior League of Wheeling has provided the opportunity to create a period products pantry for young women and girls in the Ohio Valley as well as develop curricula to advance our leadership skill sets. I look forward to continuing to make a difference with the women in our community.”
This year’s 40 Under 40 honorees will be celebrated during the AJLI Annual Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 16. As AJLI celebrates 125 years of the Junior League Movement, this recognition highlights the next generation of leaders shaping the future of our communities.
