WHEELING – The Thursday Music Club will present its Spring Program at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, at Elm Grove United Methodist Church, 125 Kruger St., Wheeling.
The program, titled “One Voice,” is inspired by the Barry Manilow song celebrating the power of music in bringing people together.
The club’s 21-member chorus, under the direction of Anita Chops, with accompanist Debbie Breiding, has been preparing an entertaining variety of selections.
Featured pieces will include “Among My Souvenirs,” “I Feel Pretty” and a special arrangement inspired by “Sister Act.” Violinist Alaina Holloway will also join the chorus in a performance of “Music in the Valley.” In addition, the program will feature a special piano duet by two of the club’s accomplished pianists, Debbie Breiding and Barbara Daly.
The concert is open to the public and free of charge. Audience guests and members are invited to stay for lunch afterward in the church Fellowship Hall. The cost for lunch is $20, and reservations must be made in advance by contacting Sandy Smith at 304-242-1268.
The Thursday Music Club warmly invites the community to attend this enjoyable morning of music.
