WHEELING — Ohio Valley Trail Partners, coordinating group that holds the annual Wheeling Heritage Trail Bicycle Tour as part of Ogden Wellness Weekend and set for Sunday, May 24, Memorial Day Weekend, is offering a Family Bicycle Ride set for Sunday, May 3 on Wheeling streets.

The ride is free and open to the public. Riders will get a free back pack, handy to have when riding.

Riders will register at north intersection of Wheeling Center Market before the liftoff at 1 p.m. All riders must wear helmets.

The group will ride city streets, and historic sites will be noticed. Riders will ride across the historic Wheeling Suspension Bridge onto Wheeling Island streets and return to Centre Market starting point.

Ride leaders will lead the ride and sag support will follow up riders.

Approximate time for this event will be about 1 hour.

Riders age 14 and under must have an adult with them.
