WHEELING – The Woman’s Club of Wheeling held its Inaugural Luncheon on April 17 at Monument Place in Wheeling.

The club is part of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs and GFWC West Virginia. GFWC is an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

Terri Diamond, GFWC West Virginia state president, installed the 2026-28 newly elected officers and the Community Service Program chairwomen during an installation service. Jeanne Amidon, GFWC WV Northern district president, spoke at the event highlighting the upcoming GFWC WV Northern District Workshop to be held in Wheeling on April 25. The event will be hosted by the Wheeling Woman’s Club.

Sixty-seven members and guests attended the event. A delicious lunch was catered by Hall of Fame. After lunch, the ladies enjoyed a performance by Lee Dean, a musical tribute artist, singing songs from Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash.
