TRIADELPHIA — The first annual Ascension of Ink Tattoo Fest will take over the Highlands Sports Complex on the weekend of June 12-14, bringing together more than 150 tattoo artists, live entertainment and vendors for a one-of-a-kind, all-ages weekend in the Ohio Valley.

Hosted by Breaking Skin Tattoo and Body Piercing of Bridgeport, the festival invites both seasoned collectors and first-timers to experience tattoo culture up close. More than just a convention, the Ascension of Ink Tattoo Fest is a living gallery where stories unfold in ink.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive tattoos from attending artists, browse unique vendors, and experience live entertainment. Guests are also welcome to watch and participate in the nightly tattoo competitions.

“This event is about bringing people together through art and self-expression,” said Dennis Gilbert, event organizer. “It’s a space where creativity and community meet.”

Featured tattoo artists include: Yuri Avila, who delivers bold, high-impact designs known for detail and visual storytelling; Joseph “Ninetoes” Jones, a versatile artist blending classic tattoo tradition with a personal touch; Mark Boller, who is recognized for clean line work and dynamic compositions; and Greg Davenport, specializing in realism and depth-driven designs.

Live Entertainment for the event will include musical performances by Company Caravan on Friday and Theriaca on Saturday.

Captain and Maybelle, known as “America’s Favorite Sideshow Couple,” will hold performances all weekend. Freak show artist Auzzy Blood will perform on Friday and Saturday, and the No Gimmicks Needed Suspension Team, featuring artistic body suspension, will dazzle the crowd all weekend.

Tickets for admission on Friday are $15. Saturday admission is also $15, and Sunday admission is $10. Weekend passes are available for $30, and children ages 7 and under are admitted for free.
