Pride Movement History Eyed for Next Program
WHEELING – The Ohio County Public Library’s next Lunch With Books program will focus on “A History of the Pride Movement.”
The program will take place at noon on Tuesday, June 30, at the library in downtown Wheeling.
As a part of Pride on the Plaza, representatives of the Friendlier City Project will explore the history of the Pride Movement, including its most recognizable symbol, the Rainbow Flag.
The mission of Wheeling’s Friendlier City Project is to foster and strengthen a thriving LGBTQ+ community in Wheeling by creating meaningful partnerships and offering educational opportunities.
