Program Welcomes Author Robert Foreman

WHEELING – The Ohio County Public Library’s next Lunch With Books program will welcome author Robert Long Foreman, an award-winning writer with Wheeling roots.

The program will take place at noon on Tuesday, June 9, at the library in downtown Wheeling.

Foreman earned a Ph.D. in English with a Creative Writing emphasis at the University of Missouri and now lives in Kansas City. His latest book, “Heavens to Betsy,” was inspired by the time he ran into the street to stop a pug dog from getting smashed to death by a dump truck. The book has been called “a hodgepodge, part anti-memoir, part unlikely hero’s tale, in which Betsy, the little pug who nearly meets her end beneath a dump truck, becomes an eponym for failure, inspiration, origin stories, aging, parenting, sustainability and more.”

For more information on the author, visit www.robertlongforeman.com.

Starting at $2.99/week.
