FAMILY STORY TIME OFFERED — The Ohio County Public Library, 52 16th St., Wheeling, will host Family Story Time at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6. The 30-minute program includes stories, songs and crafts for children and families.

SNACKABLE STORIES SERIES CONTINUES — The Public Market, 1401 Main St., Wheeling, will host Snackable Stories from 11 a.m. to noon June 6. Children will prepare spaghetti and meatballs before enjoying a reading of “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.” Admission is $10 per child and includes one guardian.

SCIENCE DEMONSTRATIONS PLANNED — The SMART Centre Market, 1410 Main St., Wheeling, will host free science demonstrations for all ages at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 6. The demonstrations are open to the public.

MUSIC

LIVE MUSIC SERIES RETURNS TO CENTRE MARKET — Centre Market, 2200 Market St., Wheeling, will host its Saturdays at the Market series from noon to 2 p.m. June 6. Talan Chambers will provide live music while visitors enjoy lunch from market vendors. Admission is free.

JOHNNY MULLENAX TO PERFORM — Johnny Mullenax will perform at 9 p.m. June 6 at Waterfront Hall, 1230 Water St., Wheeling. The Oklahoma musician is known for blending country, bluegrass, rock and funk influences. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the show.

MINERS TO HOST WAR EAGLES — The Wheeling Miners will face the Maryland War Eagles at 7 p.m. June 6 at WesBanco Arena. Tickets are available through the team website, arena box office or by phone.

COMMUNITY

CHILI COOKOFF, CAR CRUISE PLANNED — The 26th annual Wheeling Feeling Chili Cookoff will be held from noon to 6 p.m. June 6 at Wheeling Heritage Port. The event will feature chili tasting, live entertainment by The New Age Adenas and a car cruise from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

CARS AND COFFEE SET FOR WHEELING PARK — Wheeling Cars & Coffee will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 7 at Café 1925 in Wheeling Park. The free gathering welcomes automotive enthusiasts to display vehicles and socialize.

SPLASHTACULAR SET FOR HERITAGE PORT — The Ohio River Splashtacular will be held from noon to 4 p.m. June 7 at Wheeling Heritage Port. The event will feature the Chippewa Lake Water Ski Show Team, food trucks, educational exhibits, animals and family activities while raising money for Easterseals West Virginia.

ENTERTAINMENT

FLASHBACK CINEMA SERIES CONTINUES — Marquee Cinemas at The Highlands in Triadelphia will continue its Flashback Cinema series Sunday, June 7. The series features classic films shown on the big screen during matinee and evening screenings.

SUNDAY FUNDAY CONCERT SERIES UNDERWAY — Oglebay Park Resort will continue its Sunday Funday Concert Series at 7 p.m. June 7. The free concerts feature live music, children’s activities, concessions and an ice cream sundae bar.

WHEELING FASHION WEEK RETURNS — Wheeling Fashion Week will begin June 7 and continue through June 13 at locations throughout Wheeling. The weeklong celebration will feature fashion-focused events, culminating in a runway show June 12 at Waterfront Hall.
