GLEN DALE - The Knights of Columbus, Moundsville Council 1907, proudly announce the 15th Annual Irish Road Bowling Festival to be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, at St. Jude Park in Glen Dale.
Team registration will open at 10 a.m., with bowling beginning promptly at 10:30 a.m.
Participation will be limited to 400 bowlers, so early registration is encouraged. The entry fee is $35 per person, which includes food, beverages and course transportation.
All proceeds benefit the Knights of Columbus community outreach programs. The Moundsville Council 1907 is deeply committed to giving back to local families and children. Through partnerships such as the Marshall County Fun Fair, the Knights have helped more than 1,800 children with school supplies, provided weekly food support to over 150 children and assisted nearly 100 families in need.
Ongoing charitable initiatives include:
– Thanksgiving basket giveaway
– Coats for Kids
– Caring Tree program for area children
– Sponsoring two John Marshall High School "Students of the Month" each month
– Supporting Special Olympics, Night to Shine, the Russell Nesbitt Center, the Gabriel Project, Body and Soul Soup Kitchen, and many more community efforts.
The Knights cannot accomplish this mission without the support of dedicated individuals, parish communities, and local businesses.
For pre-registration, please visit the Knights of Columbus Council #1907 Facebook page to download the form. Teams may also register in person on the morning of the event.
The public is invited to join in a day of fun, fellowship and community service while helping to continue serving those most in need across Marshall County.
