WHEELING - The Ohio County Public Library’s next Lunch With Books program will feature a special radio play for Halloween - "The Mummy."
The program will take place at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the library in downtown Wheeling.
Head of adult programming and local history at the Ohio County Public Library, Sean Duffy, will step into his role as Or-Sean Welles as the OCPL Players return to the airwaves with this long-anticipated production of "The Mummy," based on the 1932 film starring Boris Karloff.
The public is invited to join in the fun as the group revisits the legend of ancient Egyptian priest Imhotep's mummy, reanimated when an archaeologist reads from a forbidden script. Follow Imhotep as he searches for a woman he believes is the reincarnation of his ancient lover, scheming to murder then resurrect her as his immortal bride.
