MOUNDSVILLE - Marshall County's own Amy Gamble will present her latest book at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library at 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9.

Gamble's book talk will discuss "Driving My Way Through Grief: Essays on Loss, Life, and the Miles Between." This will be followed by Q&A and book-signing until 6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public and will take place on the main floor of the library.

Gamble is an Olympian, author, speaker and award-winning mental health advocate whose work explores resilience, grief, identity, mental health and the unexpected ways we find our way through life's hardest seasons. Her newest book, "Driving My Way Through Grief," is a memoir-in-essays inspired by nearly 60,000 miles of DoorDash driving following the death of her mother. Through candid storytelling, humor and reflection, Gamble writes about loss, reinvention and finding a way forward through life's most difficult times.

While Gamble may be best known as an Olympic athlete, her work addressing mental health issues has had a tremendous impact on the many lives she's touched. Whether as a speaker, through her wellness workshops or in her podcasts and publications, Gamble has shared insights, her personal story and practical strategies for overcoming life's adversities and sustaining oneself as a caregiver.

Among Amy Gamble's other books is "Unsilenced: A Memoir of Healing from Trauma and Everyday Resilence."

Copies of "Driving My Way Through Grief" will be available for purchase and signing after Gamble's presentation. This event is sponsored by the R. Mike Baker Family.
