Prosecutor to Speak Before Newcomers Club

WHEELING – The Newcomers Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, at Generations Restaurant, 338 National Road, Wheeling. The speaker will be Shawn Turak, the Ohio County prosecuting attorney. She will talk about one of her most interesting cases — a triple homicide that she prosecuted. Ormet Retirees Club Picnic Meeting Set

WHEELING – Ormet Retirees Club Local 5724 will have its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, at the old grade school on Ohio 536 in Hannibal. The meeting will be the club's summer picnic. Those with last names starting with A-H are asked to bring a covered dish, and members with last names starting with I-Z are asked to bring a desert. All Ormet retirees are welcome. Carriers to Perform at Praise Park on Sunday

MOUNDSVILLE – The Carriers will perform in concert at 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, at Praise Park behind the Moundsville First Christian Church on the corner of Third Street and Grant Avenue. A love offering will be accepted for the group. Refreshments will be available. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held inside the church.

St. John Church Hosts Parish Festival

BELLAIRE – St. John Church will be hosting a parish festival for everyone from 5-10 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, along Tallman Avenue in Bellaire. Come enjoy the live music, vendors, cabbage roll dinners, Sons of Italy sausage, inflatables, raffles and more. Beer will be available for purchase. Hot dogs are being donated by Gulla's and sausage is being donated by the Bellaire Sons of Italy.
