Theo Yianni’s Offers Authentic Cuisine, Plans to Open New Patio

By SCOTT McCLOSKEY

WEIRTON — Theo Yianni’s Restaurant in Weirton continues to provide the best authentic Greek and American cuisine in a relaxing and fun family environment, according to Co-owners Yianni Bourbakis and Shawn Mihellis.

In addition to their new Theo Salmon Salad and hot stuffed pepper sandwich — just two great items listed on their all new menu, plans are being made to open their all new covered outdoor dining patio with flat screen display TV’s and their full lounge patio for customers to enjoy their favorite beverage beginning May 1, according to Bourbakis.

Bourbakis said they continue to pride themselves on keeping the food preparation consistent. “Every time you get a gyro, or every time you get something special it is the same thing every time,” he commented.

Other menu favorites that are sure to please include: the gyros with Greek fries, an 8 oz bistro beef tenderloin, the Mediterranean shrimp and the bourbon glazed salmon. In addition Yianni’s offers a variety of burgers, including a Greek bruschetta burger, or the hometown favorite, Frank’s Famous French-burger. Their all new Mediterranean style peppers are quickly becoming another customer favorite, according to Mihellis. Their children’s menu also offers plenty of choices, including: the buttered noodles, chicken fingers, hotdogs and the grilled cheese sandwich.

“The gyro and Greek fries — that’s like the go-to,” Mihellis said. “People love our wings as well. … We have a brick oven pizza section and we do specialty pizzas.” he added.

“What makes our restaurant special is of course the family environment,” said Mihellis. Patrons can catch a glimpse of their favorite sporting event on one of the nearly dozen large flat screen TV’s positioned around the inside of the restaurant, including a bar area.

“We are just thankful for all our faithful customers and all the new customers that come in,” Mihellis added.

Theo Yianni’s is located at 322 American Way, which is located just off the Colliers Way exit. Their hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m. to10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Customers can now download the Theo Yianni’s mobile app on their phones, available at Google Play or the App Store. It is a great way for customers to see their menu, daily specials and other special notifications on upcoming events. For take-out call 304-224-1390.
