ArtsLink Concert Series Presents Comedy Magician David Anthony on Thursday
NEW MARTINSVILLE — ArtsLink’s 2024-25 Concert Series Season continues with a performance by comedy magician David Anthony at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 7, at The Parlor Theater at Doolin Center, 253 Main St., in downtown New Martinsville.
Tickets for ArtsLink members are $10 for an individual and $20 for a family (two adults and children under 18). For non-members, ticket prices are $15 for individuals and $25 for a family. Student tickets are $5, and all tickets will be available at the door. Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
A native of Cleveland, Anthony started his love of magic when he was 5 years old, and his uncle got him a magic kit. He shared his love as a performer for the first time when he was twelve years old.
He worked vigorously on his show with the help of Rodney Whitlock, the owner of a local magic shop. He attended his first magic convention when he was 15 years old. Since then, he has won competitions with his award-winning act, “A Tale of Serendipity.” These have included third place in the 2008 International Battle of Magicians, first place at the Magi-Fest in 2009 and first place at the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 2009 where he also won the prestigious Fantasma Award.
