WHEELING — A festive reception will open the annual Holiday Show and Sale at Artworks Around Town.

The Gallery Hop starts at 5:30 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 1, and is free and open to the public. Join members as they celebrate creations made just for the holidays.

The Studio Gallery will sport an amazing array of special holiday themed pieces as well as new work never exhibited before. It’s not too early to purchase a special gift for that person who loves art or for yourself.

In the Student Gallery, works done by clients of the Sexual Assault Help Center will be exhibited. The Ohio Valley SAHC is a nonprofit crisis center that has been helping victims since 1978. The Center serves five counties; Ohio Marshall, Brooke, Hancock and Wetzel. In addition to providing crisis intervention and supportive counseling, there are informational services in place to provide referrals for further help.

Artworks Around Town is a non profit, educational center serving the fine art needs of the area. It is open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
