WHEELING — The celebration leading to the New Year begins tonight at Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack, where live music and special events are planned this weekend and through New Year’s Even.

The Glow With The Flow 2025 New Year’s Eve Party kicks off with events revving up the year-end fun tonight, and the party keeps rolling each evening into 2025.

Five straight nights of live music in the casino showroom launches with Family Tradition — the Hank Williams Jr. tribute today, Friday, Dec. 27.

On Saturday, Dec. 28, it’s not a tribute band — it’s truly “Flirtin’ With Disaster” with classic rock warhorse Molly Hatchet.

Party like it’s 1999 on Sunday night, Dec. 29, when the renowned Marshall Charloff & The Purple xPeRIeNCE bring the music and the artistry of Prince to the showroom stage.

On Monday, Dec. 30, the casino showroom salutes those about to rock when America’s mighty AC/DC tribute band Thunderstruck returns to Wheeling Island Hotel-Casino-Racetrack.

Doors to all four shows tonight through Monday night open at 7 p.m., and show time each night is at 8 p.m.

Then on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31, it’s a free concert by talented local favorites Eli & the Mojo Kings. Doors open at 8:30 p.m., and show time is 9 p.m. There will be a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight to ring in the new year.

Party favors will be available at locations throughout the property all night while supplies last on New Year’s Eve.

Additionally, DJ Daner will be spinning tunes, keeping the energy going and taking song requests all night outside the buffet beginning at 9 p.m.

There will be a photo booth outside the showroom from 6 p.m. to midnight and a photo backdrop at the Party Pit to help make memories of the special occasion.

There will be special dining and gaming promotions throughout the weekend and on New Year’s Eve.
