Pennyroyal Welcomes Open Highway Bluegrass Band
FAIRVIEW — The Pennyroyal Opera House will host a bluegrass show today, Friday, Feb. 28, featuring Open Highway.
This band is built on a solid, traditional bluegrass band sound, along with solid instrumentation and vocals.
They take pride in originating and performing their own material, and most of all, in sharing their enjoyment of performing on stage and getting the crowds involved in their shows.
The Open Highway bluegrass band is proud to announce that a new member has been added to the group. John Keith, with a great resume and much talent, has stepped up to take on playing mandolin for the band.
A great Bill Monroe-style mandolin player, awesome singer and multi-talented multi-instrumentalist, Keith is the player the band has been looking for.
The opening act for the night will be Steve Ludwig & Casual Hobos.
The kitchen and doors open at 5 p.m., and the show begins at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $20 per person, and guests ages 12 and under are admitted for free.
The Pennyroyal Opera House consists of a 100-percent volunteer staff and is located in Fairview Ohio just off Interstate 70 at exit 198 near the Belmont-Guernsey county line.
