Irish Celtic Folk Concert in Memory of Larry Freeland Set

Bealtaine

MOUNDSVILLE — The public is invited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Strand this weekend for an evening of Irish revelry in memory of dear friend, Larry Freeland.

Larry’s nephew, Conor Freeland, is a member of Bealtaine and credits his uncle as being the band’s first fan. Bealtaine is a folk band based in Pittsburgh, striving to keep traditions alive while borrowing influence from the modern world. With roots in Irish and Scottish folk, songs from the Canadian Maritimes, traditional tunes and working-class anthems, Bealtaine looks to make its own mark in the folk music world.

Bealtaine will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, for two full hours of shenanigans. Tickets are $25. Tickets are available at Frame and Fortunes, online and at the door on the night of the event.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., 30 minutes prior to showtime.

Attendees must be 21 to purchase alcohol.

Starting at $2.99/week.
