Brochella Music Festival Brings Live Music to St. C. Saturday

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Two Thirty One Productions will host Brochella on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the St. Clairsville Rec Center at 102 Fair Ave.
The all-ages music festival will be bringing a mix of international touring, regional and local acts to Belmont County.
The event begins at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 the day of the show.
MC Lars and Handguns are slated to headline the festival.
In addition to the headliners, there will be a much anticipated surprise reunion performance from a former area band.
Headliner MC Lars cut his teeth on the Vans Warped Tour.
The Nerdcore legend combines his love for nerd culture and classic hip-hop and has performed with a who’s who of musicians such as Snoop Dogg, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, Simple Plan, Gym Class Heroes, T-Pain and Insane Clown Posse, as well as alternative staples like Say Anything, Bowling for Soup, MC Frontalot, MC Chris and Wheatus.
In addition to his extensive international touring history, Lars has songs with “Weird Al” Yankovic, KRS-One, MC Chris, Sage Francis, Watsky, Jaret Reddick of Bowling for Soup, Wheatus, Kool Keith, Spose, MC Frontalot, YT Cracker, Schaffer the Darklord and K.Flay.
Lars’ work has been featured on CNN, NPR and MTV and has been profiled in Rolling Stone, SPIN and Alternative Press.
Handguns are no stranger to the Ohio Valley, while vigorously grinding as an independent touring band, they found their way to Barnesville in 2011.
After finding success with their E.P. “Don’t Bite Your Tongue,” Handguns signed to Pure Noise Records and toured the world with some of the biggest Pop-Punk and Emo bands.
After more line up changes to even begin to name, the original line up of the band reunited in 2017.
After reuniting they returned to the Ohio Valley to play Martins Ferry.
Since 2017 Handguns have played the Ohio Valley half a dozen times due to their longtime friendship with Two Thirty One Productions.
Brochella will also see the return of a longtime staple of the Ohio Valley music scene Jerry Fels and the Jerry Fels, who hasn’t played a show in half a decade.
The lineup will also have Kid Mara, ALBVS, Louie the XIII, Nervous Energies, East Coast Envy and Tidefall Crest.
Paleonardo’s Food Truck, The Rolling Griddle, Secondhand Stitching and Arts, Gravyycreations, Watkins 3-D Workshop, Flowerpot Records, Smiley Ann’s Photo Van, Wheeling Free Press, Combee Collectibles, Little Work of He[art], and Centered Crafts will be vending the event.
