WHEELING – Artworks Around Town has two amazing exhibits on display for the month of April.
Jerry Wagner’s Ceramics are continuing to show in the Studio Gallery and artwork from The Linsly School is exhibiting in the Student Gallery. The Opening Reception is at 5:30 p.m. today, Friday, April 3. The party is free and open to the public.
Wagner is part of this year’s Ceramics Takeover sponsored by Oglebay Institute. His pieces are very popular with Artworks visitors, and he continues to sell his works in the Studio Gallery curated by Janet Sheehan. Wagner’s ceramics are utilitarian in nature and evoke a natural, organic feeling with colors and forms both useful and works of art.
The Linsly School art students are exhibiting in the Student Gallery, curated by Sandra Hadsell. They have drawings, paintings, ceramics and paper mache in their collection. They always surprise and entertain with their works, and Artworks members said they are very pleased to have them return this year.
Artworks is a non profit fine art gallery and educational entity located in Wheeling’s Historic Centre Market. Hours are 10 a.m until 5:30 p.m.
