WHEELING — Waterfront Hall’s series to Shake off the Winter Blues This Spring continues on Thursday night, April 23, when The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band brings their rocking front-porch blues to the stage.
The series of award-winning blues and roots music this spring comes ahead of the highly anticipated Heritage Music BluesFest, which returns to Heritage Port in Wheeling Aug. 7-9. The festival features St. Paul & the Broken Bones, JJ Grey and Mofro, Eric Gales, Eddie 9V, Judith Hill, Anders Osborne, and many more. In total, the festival features more than 30 artists on two stages during the three days.
The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band has performed in 38 countries and 48 states. They have been featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, Living Blues, Elmore, donned the cover of Vintage Guitar Magazine, have been No. 1 on the Billboard, iTunes and Sirius XM Blues Charts and have been nominated for three Blues Music Awards by the Blues Foundation in Memphis. They’re often called, “the greatest front-porch blues band in the world.”
