WHEELING – The Ohio County Public Library will host a Celebration of Black Music as a Juneteenth preview show this coming week.

Join the Wheeling Juneteenth Band featuring Jason Treuman, Luke Daller, David Ruckle and Logan Seidler on a journey through the history of black music in the Harold Vitalie Auditorium at the Ohio County Public Library at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, in Wheeling.

The band will perform a preview of selections from a curated and varied collection of popular music, which will be presented in full on Friday evening on the Market Plaza, as part of the larger Juneteenth event. Guests can come enjoy the sounds that have inspired generations, from soul to hip-hop and beyond.

The event, which is held in partnership with YWCA Wheeling, is free and open to the public.
