Shortline Junction Kicks Off Coffeehouse Series

NEW MARTINSVILLE - ArtsLink's 2026 Coffeehouse Series kicks off on Tuesday, July 21, with a performance by Shortline Junction.

The free 6:30 p.m concert, sponsored by First Mutual Bank, will be held on the performance deck at the Francis Creative Arts Center at the corner of Maple Avenue and Washington Street in downtown New Martinsville. Ben Tharp, senior member of the band, has been performing music since 1964. The band will include Dustin Terpinning on the five-string banjo, Ben Tharp on the flattop guitar and singing the lead vocals, George Daniels on the upright bass and tenor vocals, and Jim Simpson playing the mandolin.

Light refreshments will be served and don't forget a lawn chair. In case of unpleasant weather, the concert will be moved indoors.
