FAIRVIEW - The Pennyroyal Opera House will host a bluegrass show today, Friday, Sept. 25, featuring Tracy Evans & Riverbend.
From the time Tracy Evans was born in 1974, bluegrass was going to inevitably leave a mark on him. Evans' childhood was filled with encounters with a who's who of bluegrass music - Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, Jimmy Martin, Del McCoury, J.D. Crowe, Ricky Skaggs, Keith Whitley, Jim McReynolds and Jesse McReynolds, just to name a few. He comes by both of his passions honestly, one through the family history of law enforcement, the other being the son of a bona fide bluegrass legend, Dave Evans.
The opening band for the night will be Cabin Fever.
The kitchen and doors open at 5pm and the show begins at 7:00pm.
Tickets are $20 per person, and children ages 12 and under are admitted for free.
The Pennyroyal Opera House consists of a 100-percent volunteer staff and is located in Fairview, Ohio, just off Interstate 70 at exit 198.
