Formed in 2008, The Bunny the Bear signed a record deal with Victory Records in 2011. The band is widely known for its eclectic style of post-hardcore, influenced by a variety of rock and electronic subgenres, including synthpop, metalcore, experimental rock, alternative, rock and electronica.
Brimstone Coven has been known around the Ohio Valley and afar for over the past decade.
Echoing the eerie reverberations of hard rock heavyweights such as Black Sabbath and Lucifer’s Friend, mixed with the classic rock style of Led Zeppelin and Cream, Brimstone Coven has created a vintage sound and style all their own. Formed in 2011, Brimstone Coven has released five full-length albums on venerable labels like Ripple Music and Metal Blade Records. Well known for their live performance and high energy, the band has shared the stage with juggernauts of the Hard Rock scene such as Pentagram, Uli Jon Roth and Captain Beyond. The latest album, "The Light Shines Not For Thee," was released by the band independently in 2025 and has since toured to support the album.
Think Fast Chucklenuts is a newer metalcore band formed in Weirton. The band was founded by guitarist and clean vocalist Greg Thorfinson, heavy vocalist Kaiden Kendo, bass player Jackson Kendo and drummer Ryan Hill. They bring an energetic mix of melodic vocals and heavy breakdowns. It released their debut single "Sleepwalking (in my Jordans)" this past May.
Lastly Ohio Valley's newest metal band Skindeep hails from Bellaire.
Formerly known as Design The Curse for the past five years, the band decided to start fresh with a new lineup and new name, and are striving to make a more raw, upbeat, faster sound with thick riffs and aggressively harsh vocals.
