Kelly Claire Sofka and Krzysztof Kowalski were united in marriage Saturday, Sept. 20, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Pittsburgh. The Rev. Joseph Swierczinski officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Michael and Judy Sofka of Wheeling.
Parents of the groom are Zdzislaw and Czeslawa Kowalski of Wallingford, Conn.
Sarah Sofka, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Raffaello Trofa served as best man.
Other attendants were Nicole Andreini, Dorota Esposito, Agata Knutelski, Kevin Sofka, Andrzej Kowalski and Randal Stuckwish.
A reception was held at the Grand Concourse, Pittsburgh.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School, a 2010 graduate of Bethany College with a degree in economics and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Master of Business Administration degree. She is employed at MassMutual as an investment director.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Lyman Hall High School, a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance and real estate and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a Master of Business Administration degree. He is employed by Hartford Investment Management as an assistant vice president in private real estate investments.
After a wedding trip throughout Europe, the couple resides in Manchester, Conn.
