Valerie Roach and Matthew Schwertfeger were united in marriage May 27 at Stone Manor Country Club, Frederick, Md., with Angelo B. Ciccolella officiating the outdoor ceremony.
A small Catholic ceremony also was held at St. Augustine Church, Elkridge, Md., officiated by the Rev. John Williamson, with witnesses Allison Paton, sister of the groom, and Drew Paton.
The bride is the daughter of Marguerite Roach of Taneytown, Md., and the late Timothy Roach.
The groom is the son of Mary F. and Jay Schwertfeger of Bethany.
Karey Howes served as maid of honor.
Josh Stoneking served as best man.

A reception was held at Stone Manor Country Club.
The bride is a graduate of West Virginia University. She is an interior designer at Model Home Interiors.
The groom is a graduate of West Virginia University. He is employed by Penod Ricard as a sales representative.
After a wedding trip to Barbados, the couple resides in Elkridge, Md.
