UPDATE: Trucker Dead After I-70 Crash Near Morristown

MORRISTOWN — One person is dead and another seriously injured after a multiple vehicle accident that occurred about 7 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 70 near Morristown, according to published reports.

The driver of a tractor-trailer died after his vehicle struck another tractor-trailer traveling in front of him.

This fatal accident occurred after unrelated accident occurred earlier, causing

traffic to back up on the interstate.

Neither the identity of the driver killed in the crash, nor the person seriously injured, was immediately released.

I-70 east was closed Wednesday evening as the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crashes at mile markers 203 and 207.

Traffic was rerouted through Barnesville as responders tended to victims at the scene.
