Weirton Sets Dates For Controlled Bow Hunt

WEIRTON - The dates for Weirton's annual controlled bow hunt have been set. The hunt will take place from Sept. 5 to Dec. 31, with an extended season planned for Jan. 11 to Jan. 31. In order to participate, an individual must have lived in either Hancock or Brooke counties for at least the past six months. All hunters planning to participate must attend one of three scheduled pre-hunt meetings, to be held in the Weirton Room of the Millsop Community Center. Hancock County Schools Gets SBA Approval For HVAC Improvements

NEW CUMBERLAND — Hancock County Schools is set to receive assistance from the state in addressing the climate needs within two of the county's schools. During Monday's organizational meeting of the Hancock County Board of Education, Superintendent Walter Saunders announced the West Virginia School Building Authority had approved approximately $500,000 to fund HVAC improvements at Oak Glen High School and Oak Glen Middle School.
