SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
At 9:46 p.m. Monday, officials responded to a domestic complaint at an address in Rustic Arms apartments near St. Clairsville. Officials were subsequently advised this was not a domestic dispute but rather a child screaming about not wanting to take a shower.
At 8:14 p.m. Monday, units responded to a report of an assault on Taylor Street, Powhatan Point. A male subject was reportedly assaulted by a female.
At 6:52 p.m. Monday, a subject from Hart Road, Martins Ferry, reported tools and jewelry were taken from the property.
At 10:14 a.m. Monday, a complainant from Pine Knob, Bellaire, reported that on Friday night at about 1:14 a.m., a yellow Champion generator and some diesel fuel were stolen from his truck.
At 9:06 a.m. Monday, officials received a report of vandalism and theft from a construction site on Zunick Road, St. Clairsville.
At 5:17 p.m. Sunday, a caller on Potts Road, Powhatan Point, reported trespassers on their property. The caller said he has the incident on video and has license plate number. The caller said the vehicle came through locked gate and now the gate lock is missing. A deputy responded, and according to the report, located the individuals and told them they were on private property.
At 1:38 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to South Ebbert Road, St. Clairsville. A person that the caller identified was on the porch with a gun and was knocking on door. Michael J. Petronek, 56, of 60 Village Drive, Wheeling, was arrested and booked into the county jail on charges of using weapons while intoxicated, aggravated menacing and assault. Bond of $3,000 was posted.
At 10:51 a.m. Sunday, a person reported another subject was assaulted at Valley Car Wash, Airport Road, St. Clairsville. A deputy responded and took information for a report.
On Sunday, Charles S. Fortz Jr., 31, of 65109 Union St., Neffs, was arrested for domestic violence.
At 10:01 p.m. Saturday, Belmont Community Hospital, Bellaire, reported a 3-1/2 year old boy was there who was allegedly bitten by dog. Officials from the Belmont County Animal Shelter were contacted, and they were enroute.
On Friday, Kenneth L. Skidmore, 43, of 533 Huron Drive, Heath, Ohio, was arrested for persistent disorderly conduct. Bond was set at $250.
On Friday, Paden N. Dixon, 21, of 4336 Noble St. Bellaire, was arrested for a probation violation.

The subject was contacted by the deputy and was instructed to stop contacting people at the place of business and to stay away from the job sites.
At 8:27 a.m. Tuesday, caller from Village Network Youth Center, National Road, Belmont, reported a staff member was assaulted by a client. A deputy responded and transported one male to the Sargus Juvenile Detention Center.

At 5:24 p.m. Monday, a resident on Zunick Road, Colerain, reported trucks are going from Farmington Road to Zunick Road and are causing damage to his property. A deputy responded and spoke to a complainant and to a trucking company representative.
At 5:10 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to West Captina Creek, Alledonia, for a female who was reportedly ill and was tearing up the house. She had scissors, but they were taken away from her, officials said. The female was brought to jail. Her name was not listed on the incident report.
At 1:14 p.m. Monday, a caller from a work crew on Cash Ridge Road, Shadyside, reported a flagger on the site had advised the driver of a silver Toyota truck that the road was closed, and the driver became irate and fired gunshots into the woods.

Curfew Violation
At 12:20 a.m. Friday, police cited four juveniles for a curfew violation after finding them on National Road.

A female was reportedly kicking on the caller’s door, and individuals were on the side of the home trying to get in the window. The caller indicated that this was an ongoing problem and six to eight guys were out to get him, according to the report. Officers arrived and took one female and two males, none of which were named in the report, into custody and to jail.

According to the report, the complainant received a call from a subject who said he was his grandson and was in trouble. The subject told the complainant he needed to send $2,000 in iTunes cards to an address in New York. The complainant said he did just that and mailed them at 2 p.m. from the U.S. Post Office in St. Clairsville, but said he now believes he was scammed. A deputy contacted the Post Office to see if they could intercept the letter, but the deputy was informed that the mail truck had already left at 3 p.m. A deputy responded to complete a report.
At 11:26 a.m. Tuesday, a resident on Powhatan Point-Shadyside Road, Powhatan Point, reported being out of town, and upon return, noticed someone hit the garage and knocked it from the foundation. A deputy responded for a report.
