Mallett Law Offices Changes Locations to Bethlehem

Mallett Law Offices has moved locations from 80 12th St. in Wheeling to 1 Chapel Road in Bethlehem.

Shane Mallett said he made the decision to leave the old location after he discovered the building, formerly home to BB&T, was up for sale.

“I have lived in the Mozart-Bethlehem area my whole life and we thought it was a great idea to get back on the hilltop,” Mallett said.

Mallett said Bethlehem Mayor Tim Bishop, as well as the volunteer fire department just next door, played instrumental roles in getting the business to move.

Mallett said the new location is more communal and allows the firm to be more accessible.

“We were at the Board of Trade Building basically our entire existence. We decided to move up here because we thought that it was a better fit since there is more access to parking and there is increased visibility as well,” Mallett said.

The transition was not too difficult on the firm, and they officially settled into the new residence earlier this year after seven months of renovations.

Heather Dye, a paralegal at Mallett Law Offices, played a large part in relocating not only the firm’s Wheeling office, but its Moundsville office, as well.

Dye has been a paralegal for more than 30 years and has worked with Mallett Law Offices for well over 10 years.

“Heather was in charge of redoing the whole building. She gutted it and redecorated it and was in charge of the entire process. She did a tremendous job for us,” Mallett said.

Both Dye and Mallett stressed how lucky they feel to be in a welcoming community.

“I went to the gas station next door one day and ended up talking with an employee there for 10 minutes, and everyone has been like that. People have been stopping in to say hi and everyone has just been so welcoming,” Dye said.

Mallett Law Offices has been in business for 15 years and handles personal injury, oil and gas, wills, estate probate and criminal law matters.

Mallett also is a member of the Ohio County Board of Education.

“What we really enjoy about our business is helping people. We get to be there for them in their time of need and we are very blessed,” Mallett said.

Starting at $2.99/week.
